Legion Health dashboard design with the next appointment, notifications and booking information.

The task

A practice needs to manage more than its next appointment. Staff also need to see availability, check past visits, maintain provider information and coordinate referrals. The design brings those activities into a shared navigation structure.

Two views of the same practice

Clinic administrator

Organize appointments and patient records, see available time slots and handle changes to the schedule. The case addresses the difficulty of keeping this information across paper planners and separate spreadsheets.

Medical director or clinic owner

See the practice’s appointments, staff availability and activity together. The dashboard provides a starting point for reviewing the day and moving into the details.

The interface

The navigation connects the dashboard, calendar, practice information and appointment history. The booking flow includes creating, rescheduling and cancelling an appointment, with a confirmation step for cancellation.

Dashboard
Upcoming appointments, notifications, booking links and a summary of availability share one starting screen. The next meeting and its action are placed together.
Calendar
Appointments appear in a weekly view alongside available time. Calendar connections and availability settings sit within the same section.
Practice
Provider profiles, credentials and partner tasks are grouped in the practice area. Task lists show what is complete and what still needs attention.
Appointment history
A table brings past appointments, dates and statuses together. Filters help narrow the list, while status labels distinguish completed, cancelled and upcoming visits.
Booking and scheduling
The flow moves from choosing a date and time to confirming the booking. Appointment details keep the patient, meeting information and follow-up actions together.
Referrals and network
The network view lists professionals and opens their profiles. Specialty and professional information support the referral workflow.
